02 / 05 The feeling

You knowthe feeling.

The pack dries, cracks, and your face pulls. You rinse, and it still pulls. Most of us grew up thinking that was the clay working.

Clay dried in the sun and split into plates

03 / 05 Why

Clay doesnot stop.

Clay takes up oil. When the oil runs out it keeps going, into the water your skin holds. That is the pull.

04 / 05 The fix

So we taughtit to stop.

Every formula pairs the clay with something that holds water in. In the washes, humectants. In the serum, only the clay's soluble minerals.

The ingredient

Multani mitti that knows when to stop

A sedimentary clay, mined and milled rather than synthesised. It is naturally high in magnesium and aluminium silicates, which is why it takes up oil without a surfactant doing the work.

Left to itself clay keeps absorbing past the oil and into the barrier. Every formula here is buffered against that: humectants in the washes, and in the serum only the soluble mineral fraction.
